A kid walks into a music school expecting to coast. Instead he gets adopted by the three prettiest guys in the building who decide his voice matters enough to fight for. The show plays comedy straight but never lets you forget that these characters actually care about each other's futures, and in a school full of people competing for the same dream, that matters more than technique. What could have been a soulless idol vehicle becomes a story about four people who chose each other first.

Yuuta enrolls at Ayanagi Academy, a school known for show business and especially music, hoping to track down the high school student who inspired him. Getting into the coveted Musical Department is a competition, and at the top of the pecking order sits the Kao Kai, the academy's highest-graded musical students. The quickest way in is to join a Star Team taught directly by one of its members and earn their recognition. Yuuta and four other students, Tooru, Kaito, Kakeru and Shuu, each have problems of their own and are barely holding on as candidates. Then the eccentric Kao Kai member Itsuki Ootori takes an interest in them. As Team Ootori, they must work past their shortcomings and face rival Star Teams on the way to performing at the Ayanagi Festival. Expect a mix of comedy, music and slice of life.
