Nobody talks about this one. A three-minute music video that knows exactly what it is: Sanrio characters moving through soft watercolor spaces while Kuraki Mai's voice sits gentle and unhurried over everything, turning a song about staying true to yourself into something that actually feels like a hug. You watch it once for the melody, then again because you needed the permission to stop trying so hard.

Kuraki Mai's song Stay the Same pairs with Sanrio's Wish me mell characters in this single-episode music video. The track belongs to Uta no Kotoba, or Words of Songs, a joint project between the singer and the Sanrio characters. The video was included with the limited first edition of Over the Rainbow, her tenth album.
