The movie earns what the TV series only promised: a war story that actually feels like one, where absence matters more than spectacle. Yoshika's powerlessness forces the 501st to fight without their anchor, and the film knows the weight of that vacancy in every scene. It's the franchise finally understanding that witches are soldiers first, and that changes everything about why we care if they make it back.

Yoshika Miyafuji lost her witch powers in the Strike Witches' last campaign, and now, in 1945, she is back home in Fusou studying medicine so she can keep helping people. Fuso Navy cadet Shizuka Hattori comes to her with an offer to continue her studies in Europe, and Yoshika accepts, setting out with Shizuka for the war-torn continent. The Neuroi return stronger than before, slipping past human defenses into areas thought to be safe, and the Strike Witches must regroup. Yoshika can no longer fly a Striker Unit, yet with her friends in danger she has to decide what she can still do. The film is a sci-fi action story with ecchi elements.
