Akogare is the third film in Tamayura: Sotsugyou Shashin, a four-part movie finale to the Tamayura series. The earlier film Kizashi began that finale with Fuu, Kaoru, Norie and Maon entering their third year of high school, gaining two kouhai in the photography club and starting to think about their futures ahead of graduation. This installment is a comedy and slice-of-life film.
