Watching someone realize their hands can make something beautiful is the entire point. Himeno doesn't discover pottery, she discovers herself through clay, and the show understands that growth doesn't need drama to matter. After her father walks away from his office career, Himeno Toyokawa relocates with him to Tajimi, a Gifu Prefecture city known for Mino ware and the hometown of her mother, who died when Himeno was four. At the high school her mother once attended, an eccentric classmate named Mika Kukuri brings Himeno along to the pottery club. That visit reveals something Himeno never knew: her mother was a celebrated figure in ceramics. Together with Mika and Mika's childhood friend Naoko Naruse, Himeno signs up to continue her mother's work and discover a passion of her own for pottery. The short episodes blend comedy with slice-of-life school days.
