Miki Takekasa is a shy high schooler in Kyoto who has never really understood what fun means for her. After a near collision with her classmate Aya Takayashiki turns into an afternoon of wandering the city, the pair spot their class representative Midori Oono and trail her to Saikoro Club, a board game store where she works. With some grudging guidance from Midori, they try a German board game, and Miki begins to sense that this is the kind of fun she has been missing.
