Tenchi moves to Tokyo to escape the chaos, and for once the show actually lets him. The romance with Sakuya feels earned instead of arbitrary, grounded in genuine moments instead of harem mechanics. Tenchi Masaki moves to Tokyo for school, hoping to live an ordinary life in the big city. His female friends back home are unhappy about him leaving and complain about him being on his own. In Tokyo he meets Sakuya Kumashiro, a warm and caring girl who helps him settle in. The two grow close, and when Sakuya declares her love for him, the news shocks both Tenchi and the girls at home. They rush to Tokyo to win him for themselves, and Tenchi is pressed to decide who matters most to him. Strange events begin pulling him away from his friends, and a sinister force turns out to be behind Sakuya, created to reach Tenchi and take over the earth. He has to juggle love, friendship and daily life while protecting the planet one final time. The 26 episodes mix comedy, romance and science fiction.
