Hanabishi doesn't apologize for being a living wrecking ball in a school run by yakuza. He hits people because the code demands it, and everyone around him, rivals, admirers, cops, has to reckon with a guy who actually means what he says about honor. This OVA moves at pure delinquent momentum, treating fistfights like they're the only honest conversation in a corrupt system. The violence is stupid and the comedy comes from how seriously he takes the stupidity. It's 90 minutes of a guy who could've been a thug but chose to be something harder: consistent.

Hanabishi is a delinquent who is extremely violent yet chivalrous. He keeps getting into brawls with yakuza, other punks and, now and then, the police. Those fights earn him a fearsome reputation. It wins him a couple of admirers and puts him at odds with the bosses who run his gang-ridden school. The two-episode OVA mixes action with comedy and is adapted from a manga by Konari Takaki that ran in Young Jump.
