A concierge at a department store staffed by extinct animals has no word for "no." Akino begins her new job as a concierge at the elegant Hokkyoku Department Store with one demanding rule to follow: never say no to a customer. The catch is that her clientele consists entirely of animals, and the most valued among them belong to extinct species. Sea minks, laughing owls and Japanese wolves shop there, along with Mr. Woolly, a mammoth sculptor whose work is displayed in the store. As the store's newest concierge, Akino scrambles to fulfill requests that go far beyond typical retail. Some customers want discontinued products that are hard to track down. Others need help with matters of the heart, including marriage proposals. All the while, the anxious newcomer works under the watchful eyes of the fussy floor manager Mr. Toudou, a consultant keen to cut staff, and the store's mysterious president. By solving problems with a smile, Akino finds that her sincerity slowly wins over even the most difficult customers in this gentle fantasy film.
