Anime Like The Dragon Dentist
A dentist tends a dragon's teeth while a war rages outside, and somehow this is the most urgent thing happening. Bell emerges from a cavity like a resurrection nobody wanted, and the show never explains why, it just moves forward with the certainty of something that knows exactly what it's doing. SYNOPSIS
Nonoko takes her post as the royal dentist of Dragon Country with a singular, vital duty: keeping the kingdom's guardian dragon healthy and free from the bacterial infections that could weaken it during wartime. Her routine changes when she discovers a boy clinging to life inside one of the dragon's molars. Bell, a soldier from the enemy nation, has been mysteriously pulled back from death by the dragon itself, an occurrence that ancient prophecies warn precedes catastrophic disaster. As territorial conflict escalates between nations, Nonoko and Bell become unlikely partners navigating increasingly desperate circumstances. Their bond deepens through each battle they face together, forcing both to confront what they believed about loyalty, survival, and the forces that bind them to larger powers beyond their control. The dragon's selection of Bell hints at something neither fully comprehend: that some fates refuse to remain separate, and acceptance of one's role in a greater conflict might be the only path forward.
