A prince so brilliant he could save his kingdom decides the smarter move is to sell it off and retire. The entire show is him trying every possible scheme to make his country worthless enough that nobody will want it. The comedy lives in watching someone use genuine political genius purely to get out of having to be brilliant anymore.

Wein Salema Arbalest is a prince with a reputation for brilliance. When the king of Natra falls ill, Wein becomes prince regent of the small kingdom, and everyone sees him as the ideal ruler. Wein, though, would much rather live in peace and quiet. His plan is to raise Natra's value, sell the country to whoever bids highest, and retire comfortably on the proceeds. As regent he holds the throne's authority, so nobody can stop him. The trouble is that his own cleverness keeps working better than he intends. His schemes turn into unplanned victories that win him the admiration of his unsuspecting people. The series is a comedic fantasy adapted from a light novel series by Toba Tooru, with illustrations by Falmaro.
