A being cursed to be feared finds a human child on a pile of corpses and chooses to raise her anyway. What unfolds is not a story about saving the world or breaking a curse, but about two people learning what it means to matter to someone. The OVA moves with the patience of a fairy tale, trading spectacle for the quiet weight of a hand being held across an uncrossable line.

Two lands exist side by side. Humans live in the inner land and fear the outer one, home to eerie beings said to carry a curse. At the border, one of those beings comes across a girl lying among discarded corpses. She tells him her name is Shiva, greets him warmly and calls him Teacher. Their story unfolds in the dim space between night and day, one human and one not. This dark fantasy OVA is adapted from Nagabe's manga and runs at movie length. It was bundled with a special edition of the manga's side story, and Crunchyroll streams it as three regular episodes.
