A kid gets turned into a weapon by accident, and the show immediately makes that a horror story instead of a power fantasy. Chronos doesn't want to fight the Guyver, they want to dissect it, which means everyone Sho loves becomes a target just for knowing him. The OVA never flinches away from that cost. By episode three, you understand that this armor is a curse wearing the shape of salvation, and survival means watching your world burn around you while you're the only thing strong enough to fight back.

Continuing from the first OVA, this six-episode sequel returns to Sho, who came across a strange alien device in the woods while out with his friend Tetsurou. The device bonded with his body and turned him into the Guyver, an armored alien warrior. The Chronos corporation wants the unit, along with two others like it, and sends genetically enhanced monsters called Zoanoids to take it back. Sho must keep fighting them, and nobody close to him is safe, not even Sho himself. The story mixes sci-fi action with horror and drama.
