Komari is a vampire who has spent the last three years as a self-proclaimed professional shut-in. Her noble Gandesblood bloodline comes with expectations of great power, but she refuses to drink blood and cannot use magic, which leaves her scrawny, clumsy and weak by vampire standards. Then a misunderstanding with her father lands her a post as one of the Seven Crimson Lords, a commander in the Mulnite Imperial Army. Her unit is made up of belligerent ruffians who turn on any superior who shows weakness. At her side is Vill, her trusty and slightly infatuated maid, and together they convince the soldiers that Komari is a ruthless warlord bent on conquering the world. The result is a comedic fantasy about a reclusive vampire trying to fake competence, while a vampire from her past returns intent on killing her for good.
