Mizuki is trying to run an art club while three other people are actively sabotaging the concept of an art club existing. The comedy lives in that gap between what she wants and what actually happens, every single time. You watch her fail to make a single normal art activity happen, and somehow that becomes the funniest thing on screen.

Mizuki Usami is a devoted member of her middle school's art club and wants to spend club time actually making art. What she finds instead is chaos. Her clubmate Subaru Uchimaki has a real gift for drawing faces, yet he pours it all into creating his perfect 2D wife. Colette, a rich and sketchy troublemaker, rarely turns up and stirs up mischief when she does. The club president sleeps through sessions and collects sleeping aids, though he seems to look out for Mizuki and Subaru. Mizuki is the only one trying to do proper art club work, and she keeps getting thwarted by her unmotivated clubmates and by her own distracting crush on Subaru. The result is a romantic comedy about one earnest girl stuck in a club full of mild disappointments.
