Mizuki is trying to run an art club while three other people are actively sabotaging the concept of an art club existing. The comedy lives in that gap between what she wants and what actually happens, every single time. You watch her fail to make a single normal art activity happen, and somehow that becomes the funniest thing on screen.
Mizuki Usami joins her school's art club with genuine enthusiasm for creating art. What she finds instead is chaos. Her clubmate Subaru is obsessed with perfecting his ideal 2D girlfriend, sketching her face over and over while ignoring actual assignments. Colette, the wealthy troublemaker, shows up whenever she feels like it to cause problems. The club president sleeps through every single meeting, surrounding himself with an ever-growing collection of pillows and sleep aids. Somehow, Mizuki becomes the only person trying to do actual art club work. She battles constant frustration as her clubmates pull her in different directions, each wrapped up in their own absurd priorities. The club should be falling apart, but there's an unexpected warmth beneath all the dysfunction. These misfits genuinely care about each other, even when they're driving Mizuki absolutely up the wall. It's a comedy about being the only sane person in an insane group, about finding your people in the weirdest possible ways, and about how sometimes the best memories come from things that never go according to plan.
