Nobody remembers this one anymore, which is the crime the show itself is trying to prevent. Kiramekiman announces every heist before pulling it off, turning theft into performance art, turning the hunters into the hunted, turning a Y2K-era Saturday morning slot into something that actually had stakes. The detectives chasing them are incompetent enough to be funny and dogged enough that you stop knowing which side you're rooting for. By the time you realize the thieves are saving the world one stolen artifact at a time, the show has already made you complicit in their crimes.
In the near future, the world is thrown into an uproar by Kiramekiman, a pair of young thieves who send out a warning before every heist. Once they pick a target, they never fail to take it. A trio of detectives chases the Kiramekiman group but cannot manage to catch them. In secret, the thieves have a noble aim: they steal only particular objects, and they do so to keep the future peaceful. The show is an action adventure entry in the Time Bokan franchise, running for 26 episodes.
