When the mysterious Gaizok destroys the planet Beal, a handful of survivors flee to Earth and settle as three families: the Jin, the Kamie and the Kamikita. Known together as the Jin Family, they try to build new lives while readying for the Gaizok assault they know is coming, along with its giant mechanical beasts called Mecha Boosts. To guard their adopted home they build three vehicles that join into the giant robot Zambot 3. The fight is not only against the invaders: the people they defend blame the Jin Family for bringing the invasion in the first place. The result is a mecha drama that pairs action with the weight of that resentment.
