Having finished middle school, Tonbo Ooi leaves the remote island of Tokara for Kumamoto, where she starts high school and hopes to push her golf further. Her mentor Igarashi uses his connections to persuade coach Hajime Udou to take her on. Her odd style and lack of practice with a full set of clubs make a rough start, but her distinctive skills win notice when she debuts on the course. She faces off against Hinoki, a talented junior golfer, and her coach enters her in the Kyushu Women's Championship, where old acquaintances and new rivals await.
