Mon-Mon moves to the city to learn fashion design from her idol, but her new job is babysitting a toddler with impossible powers while pretending nothing is wrong. The comedy lives in her desperately genuine effort to keep up, to be professional, to learn something, while everything around her rewrites the rules of physics every single day. Fifteen-year-old Mon-Mon, a girl from the countryside, dreams of becoming a fashion designer. She takes a job as an au pair for Mrs. Kano, an up-and-coming designer, who lives with her goofy writer husband and their baby daughter PePe. PePe is no ordinary infant: she can make toys and animals behave in very strange ways, from teddy bears that walk to stuffed animals that talk. Mon's employers never seem to notice anything unusual. Mon-Mon is sweet, kind and hardworking, but also unworldly, and the job she hoped for turns into a cute, chaotic contest of wits she cannot win. When she finally decides to quit and go home, the psychic baby, who has grown to love her, finds a way to keep her there.
