A small studio in Toyama made six episodes of pure regional love letter, quiet shots of mountain air, firefly squid glowing in dark water, old wooden houses that have survived centuries, and asked nothing from you except to look. There's no narrative machinery, no character arcs pretending to matter. Just PA Works animating their own hometown until it becomes a reason to visit. The show is barely a show at all. It's permission to move slowly through something beautiful.

Six short animated specials showcase Toyama prefecture's best-known sights: the Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route, the firefly squid of Toyama Bay, and Gokayama with its world heritage gassho-zukuri architecture. P.A.Works, a Toyama-based studio, handles the animation, while The BERICH, a flash animation unit from Uozu, contributes flash pieces. Built around the theme of a Toyama that moves you to tears, the animated shorts come paired with live footage shot by Toyama Television Broadcasting, and the whole project aims to share the natural beauty of the prefecture with audiences around the world. Slice of life in tone, it works as a gentle regional showcase.
