This is the one that turns a toy gimmick into an actual quest, and it works on you before you notice. Instead of one battlefield, Galaxy Convoy's crew goes planet hopping for the Cyber Planet Keys: Velocitron, where everything is settled by a race and Override rules the track, the Jungle Planet under Scourge's boot, and Gigantion, where Metroplex's giants build in the sky. Vector Prime is the reason it lands, an ancient swordsman out of time who talks like he has already seen how this ends, and the show has the nerve to make you feel it when he goes. Starscream chasing power he cannot hold is the oldest note in the songbook, and it still stings here. Coby, Lori and Bud could have been dead weight and instead they are the ones who keep the stakes human while a black hole eats the sky.

A catastrophic black hole threatens to consume everything in existence, and Cybertron itself faces annihilation. As their world collapses, the Transformers flee to Earth, hiding there as robots in disguise. Galaxy Convoy meets Vector Prime and learns of Planet Force, an ancient relic able to reset whole planets. It was thought lost thousands of years ago along with Cybertronian explorers whose attempt to build a space bridge to the edge of the universe failed. Convoy and the Cybertron warriors he leads set out on a quest across the universe to find Planet Force and awaken the ancient warrior Primus, hoping to save everything. Along the way they reach new planets home to other Transformer races and the Convoys who rule them. But Master Megatron and his followers want that same power to control the universe, and they keep getting in the way.
