A toy that won't stop looking for a girl who's already forgotten about him. That asymmetry, his perfect loyalty meeting her inevitable childhood, is what gutts this thing. By the time Daru finds her again, he's not the same toy anymore, and she's not the same girl.

Daru is a handmade plush toy and a little girl's most treasured possession, until her mother hurries her onto a flight and he is left behind at the airport. Stirred awake by her tears, Daru sets off around the world to find her. He crosses continents, talks with animals and even statues, and gains a caterpillar companion along the way. As time goes by, though, the girl starts to forget him, and it is uncertain whether Daru will ever see his owner again. The single OVA is a gentle slice-of-life adventure about loyalty and the passing of time.
