A high school comedy where every single student is literally a grave monument from a different era and culture. The premise is so stupidly specific, Yayoi barrows next to American graves next to Sengoku commanders teaching algebra, that it becomes its own perfect joke machine. You're not watching a show about high school. You're watching a show about what happens when archaeological artifacts develop crushes on each other in a classroom. The absurdity never apologizes, never explains itself beyond "yes, these are all tumuli now, moving on." By episode three you've stopped asking why and started asking what other impossible school configurations exist in this universe.

Coffy is a tumulus who attends Tumulus High School, where burial mounds of every kind come together. Her schoolmates include a barrow tomb from the Yayoi period, the royal heir of the tumulus world and a grave from America, and a commander from the Sengoku period teaches there. This ten-episode comedy ONA is set at a cemetery school and plays out as a love comedy, following the romance, friendships and youthful days of these tumuli as they share their school life.
