When Coffy and Daniel rehearse a Japanese lion dance for their school festival exhibit, Abukuma yells at them for making too much noise. Coffy loses her temper and throws his treasured bonsai at him, yet it is Daniel who ends up convicted of damaging property. The question of how his trial will turn out drives this comedy film, which spins a courtroom case out of a broken potted plant.
