Loran Cehack, a boy from the Moon, is sent to the surface with two others on a scouting mission and spends a year working for the Heim Family, aristocrats in a Victorian-style society. When the Moonrace lands to take the planet by force, a giant stone statue called the White Doll cracks open to reveal the Turn A Gundam. With Loran at its controls, the mobile suit brings the forces of Earth and Moon to a standoff, and he tries to bridge the gap between humanity's long-divided branches and keep another catastrophic war from breaking out.
