Anime Like Two Down Full Base
A kid makes one stupid decision and has to fix it by actually playing baseball instead of just talking about it. The money plot disappears because that's not the point, the point is a shortstop learning that his team needs him, not just tolerating him. By the time you realize this is a children's special from decades ago, you've already bought in to a kid who has to earn his position every single day.
SYNOPSIS
Musuke Sato, the scrappy shortstop of the Eggs junior baseball team, makes a terrible decision when his mother trusts him with important money. Instead of keeping it safe, he loans it to Tower and Dump, two troublemakers who have no intention of paying him back. Now he's in deep. Desperate and out of options, Musuke turns to an unlikely ally: the pitcher's younger sister. She's smart, capable, and definitely not thrilled about getting dragged into his mess. Together they have to figure out how to recover the cash before his mother finds out what happened. What starts as a simple problem spirals into something bigger as Musuke learns that his mistakes have consequences beyond just losing money. He'll need to rely on his teammates, swallow his pride, and figure out what it actually means to be trustworthy. Between baseball games and scheming to get out of trouble, Musuke discovers that sometimes the hardest plays to make happen off the field.
