A visitor from another world lands on Earth and befriends a human boy. Pipi carries the knowledge of his distant home into everyday situations, offering sensible advice to the humans around him when trouble arises. Sometimes a well-chosen word is enough. Other times, the advanced technology he brings with him becomes necessary. The drama mixes live action with animation: real actors appear in real scenery, while Pipi himself and many of the special effects are drawn. The result is a mostly live-action series from 1965 with an animated alien at its center, built around the friendship between Pipi and the people he helps.
