Kitasan Black's refusal to accept her own limits becomes the spine of something that actually breaks through the formula, you watch her claw back from failure in ways that feel earned instead of scripted. The racing sequences hit with real momentum because the show trusts its animation to do the emotional work, not just the spectacle. Season 3 repeats the structure of what came before, but it swings harder on the moments that matter, leaving you exhausted in the way only sports anime about perseverance can.

Kitasan Black and Satono Diamond have looked up to fellow horse girl Toukai Teiou since they were children, and they enter Tracen Academy hoping to follow her lead. Kitasan joins Team Spica, Teiou's own team, and wins race after race until her first Grade 1 attempt ends without victory. She resolves to find out how far her talent can really take her. Satono Diamond belongs to a family of gifted runners that has never claimed a G1 win, and she hopes to be the one who finally ends that drought. Across 13 episodes, this third TV season of the franchise blends sports drama with everyday school life.
