These shorts exist to let you sit with horse girls doing nothing in particular, and that nothing is the entire point. There's no plot momentum, no character arc waiting to resolve, just the specific comfort of watching people you like exist in a space that doesn't demand anything from you. If you've ever finished Umayon and felt the ache of having to leave that world, these twelve episodes are the show saying you don't have to.

Umayon: Shinsaku Short Anime is a set of twelve new short episodes that came as bonus content with the Blu-ray release of Umayon, first issued in 2021. The shorts extend the original Umayon with fresh material in the same light register, mixing comedy with slice-of-life moments in brief installments meant for fans who picked up the home video box.
