Oscar's obsession with breaking the curse makes him blind to the actual curse, a woman who has forgotten how to want anything for herself. Tinasha's coldness isn't mystery or allure; it's what happens when you survive long enough to stop feeling. The show knows that real intimacy means watching someone thaw, not conquering them, and it costs both of them something to learn the difference.

The second season of Unnamed Memory continues the fantasy romance adapted from Furumiya Kuji's light novels, which are illustrated by Chibi. Prince Oscar wants to end a curse that stands in the way of his bloodline, and his quest brings him to Tinasha, a witch of great power and beauty. His terms for a deal are unusual: he wants to marry her. She has little interest in the idea but consents to live in his castle for a year while she studies the spell placed on him. Tinasha has spent her life keeping grim secrets, and they soon begin to emerge.
