After the events of Mask of Deception, a scheming general has illegally taken the throne of the powerful Yamato Empire, and chaos spreads across the land under his harsh rule. Only a pair of returning faces stand against him. They must bring different kingdoms together to oppose the strength of the Imperial army, while nations and generals are forced to choose sides in a dangerous civil war. Along the way, secrets come to light, friendships are strained, and battles decide whether peace can return or whether winning at any price leads to ruin. The story is an action-driven fantasy war drama with science fiction elements, adapted from a tactical role-playing visual novel by Aquaplus.
