Centuries of warfare and ecological collapse have left Earth in ruins, pushing it toward a sixth mass extinction. Humanity's answer was the aero police, a city floating in the sky where endangered animals, bred through genetic modification, evolved to walk upright and speak. Now these creatures live peacefully in their own civilization high above the ruined world below. No one gives the surface a thought anymore. Then the children Kui, Hiruma and Root come across a seed from the world outside. Eager to learn where it came from, they set out for the ground, unaware that once they arrive, there is no way back up. Released in 2016, the film is a sci-fi adventure made under Anime Tamago 2016, a project for training young animators.
