Miyu Yamano is a vampire whose destiny is to hunt the Shinma, demons with godlike power who prey on innocent people, and send them back to the Dark, the realm they come from. She acts as a guardian between that dark realm and the human world. Himiko Se, a spiritualist hired to look into a string of murders whose victims were drained of blood, does not expect to find a real vampire. Once she meets Miyu, she sets out to learn who the girl is and to stop her from feeding on humans. She struggles to believe Miyu is innocent and cannot see why a vampire would shield people from Shinma, one of which is posing as a member of the noble vampire race. Across four episodes, each one telling of a single encounter between Miyu, a Shinma and the humans it affects, the story is seen through Himiko's pursuit. The result is a quiet gothic horror OVA with psychological and supernatural drama.
