Five teenagers with actual magic powers spend more time bickering about lunch than saving the world. The giant alien ship they defeated left a cherry blossom tree blocking out the sun, so naturally they argue about that too instead of fixing it. This is what happens when you give magic to people who are fundamentally unprepared for responsibility, and the show finds comedy gold in every missed deadline and half-finished spell.

Five well-meaning misfits make up the Magic User's Club, a group whose talents go well beyond card tricks: they can work genuine magic. With it they have beaten a giant ship from outer space, but that encounter left behind an enormous cherry blossom tree in the heart of the city, one so tall it shuts out the sunlight. Takeo Takakura, the club's noble but perverted president, calls a special Sunday meeting to deal with the tree. The job sounds easy, yet with magic involved nothing goes as planned. Meanwhile a silent, ghostly figure hides among the branches and watches everything they do. The show mixes comedy, magical girl antics, romance and science fiction.
