A kid in a homemade superhero costume gets the girl who actually fell from the sky, and the show treats both of them like they deserve each other. The comedy runs on earnest stupidity colliding with real stakes, Kenta's obsession with being a hero becomes the only thing standing between alien invasions and his school. It's 1984 energy: trashy, sincere, and completely committed to the bit that a weirdo otaku might actually be the only person crazy enough to save the world.
Kenta Hirono is a geeky junior high student obsessed with tokusatsu and anime, who runs around in a homemade hero costume he calls Wing Man. Most classmates write him off as a crazy otaku, but his childhood friend Miku Ogawa sees a noble spirit in him. One day a girl drops out of the sky, and Kenta takes her home to recover, as a hero of justice should. He also holds on to the Dream Note she carried and starts sketching his Wing Man designs in it. The girl is Aoi, a princess of the dream world Botoreem, which the tyrant Rimeru and his monstrous Seed Men have conquered. Whatever is drawn or written in the Dream Note becomes real, so Kenta turns into his own creation. Now bound to the book, he joins Aoi in fighting Rimeru's minions, who come to Earth to seize it, and his friends, especially Miku, get pulled in along the way. The show mixes action and comedy with romance.
