Kuroko gets systematically dismantled by the one person he can't stop, benched mid-match like his entire game plan was a joke. That humiliation is the trigger that wakes something feral in Kagami, and suddenly you're watching a player reach past his limits to answer his partner's pain. This is basketball as pure emotional violence, two players colliding not because they have to win, but because one of them has to prove their teammate matters.

Seirin High arrives at the Winter Cup set on avenging their loss to Touou Academy at the Inter-High. But Aomine, Kuroko's former Teikou teammate and old light, has only grown stronger, and he reads Kuroko's new move. With every effort shut down, Kuroko is pulled to the bench in humiliation. Seeing his partner brought low awakens something almost beastlike in Kagami, who takes Aomine on directly. Both players enter the Zone as their showdown intensifies. This sports film is the first of three compilation movies retelling the Winter Cup.
