A tiny girl, no longer than a man's thumb, is born to a woman who has no children. A family of frogs carries her off, meaning to wed her to their son. With a bumblebee's help she gets away, and her escape sets her on the path to a genuine prince, no frog kissing required. Made as a 1978 fantasy film, the story retells the well-known fairy tale Thumbelina for young audiences.
