Japanese folklore comes to life in a set of short animated films, each retelling a well-known folk tale. The adapted stories range from the tale of Taro Maegami to The Elephant's Sneeze, with others such as The Riceball Family and Thunder is the Bridegroom also in the lineup. The fifteen shorts aired in 1987 as a segment of Tondeke Gutchonpa, a variety program for children, and bring a fantasy flavor to these traditional stories.
