Two little kittens, Miaomiao and Mimi, are siblings who could not be more different from each other. Miaomiao is hardworking and obedient, while Mimi is lazy and likes to indulge herself. When morning comes, Miaomiao gets up at mom's call but Mimi stays in bed, and at washing time Mimi turns the soap bubbles into a game of eating them. The family of three then heads to the riverside to fish. Miaomiao sits beside mom and concentrates, while Mimi runs off after butterflies and dragonflies. Mom and Miaomiao go home with plenty of fish, and Mimi comes back with nothing. Waiting at the table for their meal, the siblings argue about fishing and eating fish until mom calms them down, and the kittens come to see that fishing takes focus. The result is a gentle slice-of-life movie about two siblings and one family outing.
