This direct sequel arrives straight to video with two more tales set against Japan's turbulent past. The Ear of Jinsuke follows a wandering swordsman drawn into a fight against evil spirits to rescue a woman in danger. Prints from the Fall of the Bakufu turns to a tomboyish woodcut artist tasked with capturing the likeness of young warrior Okita Soji in print, a quieter story of art and duty set amid a crumbling era.
