Yichan is a young monk, and his story unfolds around his master and the many people and events surrounding them. Through these encounters he comes to learn the principles of life, seeing the joys and sorrows of ordinary people, the pain of resentment and of parting from loved ones, and the frustration of wanting what cannot be had. The world is shown from Yichan's point of view, while an old monk puts life's lessons into words. Mixing comedy, drama, and slice of life, the series suits viewers who enjoy everyday stories with a thoughtful side.
