Chiitan is an Asian small-clawed otter styled as a fairy infant who stays zero years old forever, has no gender, and carries a turtle character called Kame-chan on their head. The mascot first appeared in December 2017 and is modeled on a real pet otter of the same name, whose large following on social media led to an honorary tourism ambassador role for the city of Susaki in Kochi. This comedy TV series was scheduled to begin in April 2019, but the broadcast was postponed, and one source reports it was canceled outright, with only a 15-second promotional video released.
