The weight of winning never hits you until you have to hand it over to people who weren't there. This is a show about succession, about first-years inheriting a legacy they didn't build and discovering that gratitude and hunger are not the same thing. Watch it for the racing, stay for the moment a kid realizes that honoring what came before means destroying it on the track.

Sohoku High's cycling team stands at a crossroads. After their win over reigning champions Hakone Academy at the Inter-High, third-years Kinjo, Makishima and Tadokoro step away from the club. First-years Onoda, Imaizumi and Naruko, who all rode in that national race, now form the core of a new team led by second-year captain Teshima and vice-captain Aoyagi, with a second straight title as their goal. Rivals are rebuilding too. Hakone Academy brings in new members and trains to reclaim the championship, while Kyoto Fushimi rides under the monstrous racer Midousuji. Schools across the country sharpen their skills for the next Inter-High in this sports drama about competitive cycling.
