Ichigo's grown up enough that the show doesn't need to hold her hand anymore. The romance with Kashino stops dancing around itself, the art finally matches how much you care about these characters, and suddenly you're watching her actually build something instead of just dream about it. A 13-episode sprint instead of a full season means it ends before it should, but what's here earns the time you give it.

After two years studying in Paris, Ichigo Amano comes back to Japan and St. Marie Academy as a first-year high school student. She expects to reunite with the Sweets Princes as Team Ichigo, only to learn that each of them has gone his own way in pursuit of his dream. Henri Lucas then hands her a project: setting up and running her own sweets shop. A new Team Ichigo forms around it, with Makoto Kashino alongside newcomers Lemon Yamagishi and Johnny McBeal. As Ichigo and Makoto grow closer, Johnny sets his sights on Ichigo while Miya Koshiro still pursues Makoto. Meanwhile, Ichigo begins to see that opening a shop takes more than making delicious sweets.
