This is pure skating animation porn with a metal soundtrack bolted on, 2.5 minutes of Yuri and Otabek moving so fluidly the special becomes an argument for why figure skating belongs on screen more than it does. The animators threw everything at this one, frame density and lighting precision that makes the main series look like a sketch by comparison. If you watched Yuri!!! on Ice for the skating itself, not the romance subplot, this is what you've been waiting for.

Yuri Plisetsky takes the ice for the exhibition event at the Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final in Barcelona, and Otabek skates the routine with him. The 15-year-old wants to shake off his "Russian Fairy" nickname, so he debuts wild new choreography unlike anything he has shown before. This short music and sports special was released with the sixth Blu-ray and DVD volume.
