Someone filed this under Comedy, and that has been the franchise's cruelest joke since the first cardboard-costume club errand. This is the back half of the series recut for a theater, so the Hero Club's goofy volunteer work and the flowers blooming out of a Mankai land in the same sitting as the invoice: senses gone, limbs gone, girls still smiling because Taisha needs them to smile. Togo getting her memories back and turning that knowledge on the entire system is still the sharpest pivot magical girl anime has managed, and compressed like this it lands like a punch you saw coming and ate anyway. Sonoko in that hospital bed is the receipt nobody wants to read out loud. Stay for Yuuna, who rebuilds that grin from scratch every single morning so nobody else has to carry it.

Yuuna Yuuki is a second-year middle school student whose daily life is otherwise ordinary, except that she belongs to the Hero Club. The club's activities center on dealing with a mysterious being known as Vertex. The story is set in the age of the gods, in year 300. This short film mixes comedy with magical girl elements and was screened together with the third Washio Sumi no Shou movie, Yakusoku.
