Ishidaira, a delinquent, visits the library for the first time since his elementary school days, meaning to check out a book. Library staffers Hayasameru and Shirai inform him that a book he borrowed ten years earlier was never returned. To cover it, he ends up taking a part-time job there. The result is a slice-of-life comedy with dramatic touches about a would-be borrower who becomes a library worker instead.
