Togashi never wanted to be great at running; he just was, until teaching Komiya made him understand what hunger actually costs. Years later they meet as rivals and the film strips away every comfortable lie they told themselves about talent, dedication, and what it means to give everything to something that doesn't care about you back. Togashi has always been fast. From childhood, victory in the 100-meter dash comes naturally to him, a gift that requires almost no effort. Everything changes when a new student named Komiya arrives in sixth grade. Komiya loves to run and is full of determination, but his poor form keeps him finishing last. Togashi, bored by the lack of real competition, starts coaching him, and in doing so gives Komiya a new goal: to win at any cost. For a while the two are inseparable, until Komiya moves away as abruptly as he arrived. Years separate them, and both keep sharpening their speed along different paths. When they meet again as rivals on the track, they reveal who they truly are, and Togashi's lifelong belief that being the fastest in the 100 meters can fix any problem is put to the test.
