Nobody talks about this one. Acrobunch treats the globe like a real place, each continent a new puzzle to solve, not just a backdrop for robot fights. The Randou family isn't running from danger; they're chasing something, which means every episode pivots on curiosity instead of crisis. That restless energy, that constant motion toward something unknown, makes it feel less like a mecha show and more like an adventure serial that happens to have a robot. The treasure hunt never stops moving long enough for you to get bored. By the time Gopurin catches up, you've already forgotten they exist.

Scientist Tatsuya Randou leads his family on a globe-spanning expedition to locate ancient ruins and uncover the legend of Quetzalcoatl, said to hold the key to a fabulous treasure. The evil Gopurin organization shadows them, determined to claim the riches for itself. The Randous have a secret weapon in the super robot Acrobunch, and the hunt becomes a worldwide race to reach the treasure first. The result is a mecha and science fiction adventure that pairs treasure hunting with robot action.
