Koutetsushin Jeeg walks into the room like it has something to prove to a franchise nobody asked it to resurrect, then immediately earns that right. Kenji Kusanagi is a high school student who becomes Kotetsushin Jeeg to fight back when the Haniwa Genjin, clay robots sent by the Jamada Empire under Queen Himika, suddenly reappear. The story is set fifty years after the original series and introduces a new cast, including Tsubaki Tamashiro, granddaughter of Miwa Uzuki, and Kyou Misumi. Main characters from the original series also return. The show is a science fiction mecha series built around giant robot battles.
